Young People Facing Diagnosis
Young people often feel isolated when their friends are living very different lives. Gaming gives them a familiar space to connect, relax and talk with others who understand what they are going through.
Gamers Beat Cancer supports people of all ages, all backgrounds and all types of cancer, helping them manage the mental health challenges that come with living with the disease.
Cancer does not discriminate, and neither do we. Our community welcomes anyone whose life has been touched by a cancer diagnosis, whatever their age, background or type of cancer.

Young people often feel isolated when their friends are living very different lives. Gaming gives them a familiar space to connect, relax and talk with others who understand what they are going through.

Parents, partners and carers carry emotional weight too. We support the whole family unit, offering a place to share experiences and find practical ways to cope with stress and uncertainty.

A cancer diagnosis can bring fear, anger, grief and anxiety, often long before treatment begins. Many of the people we support tell us they struggle to find words for these feelings. Gamers Beat Cancer offers a safe, non-judgemental environment to share those emotions at your own pace.
Our approach combines the shared experience of gaming with the support people need to look after their mental wellbeing.
Playing together builds friendships, lifts mood and offers a break from hospital routines and worry.
Thoughtful conversations help people process trauma, fear and uncertainty in a supportive setting.
We believe gaming can be a gift of connection, comfort and hope for anyone facing cancer.
'When I was first diagnosed I did not want to talk to anyone. Being able to log on and chat with people who got it made me feel less alone.'
