Gamers Beat Cancer supports people of all ages and all backgrounds who are living with any type of cancer. You do not need to be a gamer, and you do not need to be in treatment at the moment. Many people come to us during diagnosis, while waiting for test results, during treatment or after it has ended.
No. Our sessions are built around connection rather than skill. Some members play, some simply watch or talk, and some prefer to join only the conversation. Everyone is welcome to take part in whatever way feels comfortable.
We help with the emotional impact of living with cancer, including anxiety, low mood, fear about the future, anger, isolation and the trauma that can follow a diagnosis, a prognosis or treatment. We are not a clinical service, so if you need urgent medical or psychiatric care, please contact your healthcare team or local emergency services first.
Yes. The personal details and experiences you share with us are treated as confidential. We only share information with others where you have agreed to it or where we are legally required to do so, for example to protect someone from serious harm.
Contact us through our website or by email. Tell us a little about yourself and what kind of support you are looking for. A member of our team will reply and explain the next steps, including how we match you with a supporter and how sessions are arranged.

It is completely normal to feel nervous before reaching out for support. There is no right or wrong way to begin. You might find it helpful to jot down what has been weighing on you most, or simply to note how you would like to feel after speaking with someone.
