A Story of Finding Community
Lydia joined during a difficult period of treatment. She had stopped playing years earlier and was unsure whether she would enjoy it again. Within a few weeks she was hosting a weekly session with other members who understood the fatigue, the waiting and the uncertainty.
"It wasn't about winning," she says. "It was about having an hour where I wasn't a patient. That hour gave me the strength to face the rest of the week."
